Community Association

Vital Connections

Hillcrest’s Community Association (CA) exists to facilitate and promote the vital connections between families and the College through the provision of social and educational events, the celebration of special occasions and organising of fundraising projects that will specifically enhance community feeling and benefit a wide range of students.

The Association meets once a month for a formal meeting, where they plan and then implement a number of activities throughout the year. Parents can join the CA at many different levels. They may join in the full monthly meetings or join one of the sub-committees in their area of interest such as fundraising or community. As representatives of the parents, the Association welcomes input, interest and support from other parents and is grateful for ideas and help at major fundraisers and social gatherings throughout the year.

For further information on how you can get involved, contact the College’s Community Development Officer, Mrs Melani Van Der Westhuizen at Melani.VanderWesthuizen@cresteducation.vic.edu.au

Fun, Food & Fellowship

There are multiple events where you can connect together with fellow parents and members of College staff.

The Power of Prayer

A group of parents meet weekly at the College to pray for the wellbeing of its staff, students and families. Prayer undergirds all that we do.

Money Well Spent

All funds raised by the Community Association are invested back into the College for the benefit of all students. Contributions over recent years include a grand piano for the Performing Arts Centre, an outdoor basketball court, furniture, air-conditioning units, security fences, and Honour Boards to name a few.
